Dr. Laura Markham states in her article, Secrets to Raise a Creative Child, that everyone has the capacity to be creative. She says that all of us need access to creativity to solve the problems of daily life and all of us need creative outlets to live fully.
"We can’t give people talent, but we can train the eye and the ear and the mind, and we can help our children gain access to a creative way of seeing. We can also help them gain the concentration, competence, perseverance, and optimism necessary to succeed in creative pursuits." -Dr. Laura Markham of Aha! Parenting.com
Through Discovery Encourager Tutoring and Mentoring, I focus on building in my students the concentration, competence, perseverance, and optimism necessary to succeed in creative pursuits. I believe that self-mastery, follow through, and organization lead to being able to create the life that you truly want to live. I help those that I tutor and mentor develop the discipline to develop what lies within them so that they can share their uniqueness with the world.
